Why the Capital Recovery Business Model Exists

Why the Capital Recovery Business Model Exists

WHATS JUST & FAIR

This business model is rooted in principles of justice and fairness… bureaucratic processes allow for unclaimed funds to escheat to the government agency holding the funds after a waiting period.

This might seem more just if those agencies made greater efforts to notify the rightful owners of their bounty… but they do not… they make only the minimum required notifications by law… which, in most cases, is to post an announcement in a local newspaper for four consecutive weeks (how many of us read newspapers anymore?).

Even the name of the process whereby the owner’s funds become official government property seems unfair - to escheat, look at the play on words: es cheat

They give you a time limit, they passively notify you, then when you don't show up, they escheat you out of your funds... is this process fair and just?

WE'RE THE BAD GUY?

What’s worse is that governments tend to vilify agencies such as ClaimBridge by placing us in a dim light because we charge a fee for our recovery service… they bolster: owners CAN pick up their funds for free - implying that our services are not necessary and full of greed. They make these implications as if they are steadfast and trustworthy yet, it is their intention and strategy to keep 100% of the owners money as they silently run the clock down on their ability to file a claim.

The truth is, owners CAN claim their funds with the government agency for free without having to share their funds with Recovery Agencies… but they can only do this if they are aware that the money exists and know where in government to claim it (needle in a haystack); and the governments don’t make that information easily accessible to owners.

WITHOUT US, STILL IN THE DARK

Another truth is, without companies such as ours, owners never find out that they have money that they are able to claim for free!

LETS ASK OURSELVES...

What truly is worse?

Not knowing that the government is holding your money and therefore never having the chance to file your free claim before it completely disappears?

Or

Being informed that you have money available & that you can get access to it for a “finder’s fee”?

What we know is this: only one of those scenarios ends with money in the owner’s pocket.

BETTER TO KNOW

We believe that most people would prefer to know that the money exists and have to pay a finder’s fee to get access to their money than to never know it existed and therefore never get an opportunity to be paid.
